On September 6th, 2019, Dr. Tameka Williams and Dr. Tyler Clark founded the very first chapter of J.E.W.E.L.S. Inc. on the campus of North Carolina Central University. The success and mission of the organization made its impact from one school to another with the creation of a graduate chapter and another undergrad chapter. In the fall of 2023, Dr. Tyler Clark founded The North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University chapter of J.E.W.E.L.S. Inc.

J.E.W.E.L.S. Inc., the organization was created to provide a platform for women to empower one another, while also to serving their communities.  Through volunteering and community service, J.E.W.E.L.S. members strive to positively impact the world around them. The organization is open to all women from across different majors and backgrounds. With the establishment of multiple chapters, J.E.W.E.L.S. has expanded its reach and made an even greater impact.
