Giving back is a core pillar of J.E.W.E.L.S., Inc. At NC A&T, our community service events reflect our commitment to uplifting those around us and creating meaningful change. From campus initiatives to city-wide outreach, we strive to leave a lasting impact through intentional service. Whether we’re volunteering, fundraising, or mentoring, we show up with compassion, purpose, and a shared vision of bettering the world—one act of service at a time.
BackPack Beginnings
The NC A&T Chapter of J.E.W.E.L.S., Inc. is proud to partner with BackPack Beginnings, a nonprofit organization dedicated to feeding, comforting, and clothing children in need throughout Guilford County. Through our collaboration, we actively participated in various initiatives, including assembling comfort backpacks filled with essential items, sorting and organizing donations, and supporting the Family Market—a free, client-choice shopping experience for families. Our members engaged in hands-on service, contributing to the organization's mission of providing dignity and support to children and families facing adversity. This partnership allows us to make a tangible impact in our community, embodying the values of service and empowerment that define J.E.W.E.L.S., Inc.​
Out of the Garden Project
The NC A&T Chapter of J.E.W.E.L.S., Inc. is honored to partner with Out of the Garden Project, a leading nonprofit dedicated to ending childhood hunger in the Piedmont Triad. Through our collaboration, we actively supported initiatives such as Operation Backpack, which provides weekend meals to over 1,900 students across more than 50 schools in Guilford County. Our members assisted in sorting and packing food, as well as delivering these essential supplies to schools, ensuring children have the nourishment they need to thrive academically and personally. This partnership aligns with our mission to serve and uplift our community, embodying the values of compassion, empowerment, and collective action that define J.E.W.E.L.S., Inc.
